We love Park City. There is something so magical about the majestic ski slopes paired with historic Main Street, the buzz of the Sundance Film Festival each winter, and the inevitable conglomeration of restaurants to choose from. With Park City being one of Utah’s hottest spots for travel, it takes the expertise of a native to sort out the tourist traps from the local gems. Cue: our guide to the best Park City restaurants.
Full disclosure: Park City restaurants are typically on the pricier end. For that reason alone, this post is dedicated to the best restaurants in Park City that are actually worth your time and hard-earned money. We’ve done all the heavy lifting and provided 15 total recommendations with a handful in each category of affordable, mid-range, and fine dining options (see the restaurant footers for more details beneath each recommendation). Our hope is that next time you find yourself headed to the mountains with friends or family, this guide will help pair incredible, worthwhile food with those amazing memories. Please note that this guide is updated annually.
Tips For Dining At The Best Restaurants in Park City
- Make reservations. Park City has always been more reservation forward, but with the changes we’ve experience over the past year or two, they’re more important than ever. Call the restaurant or head to their website first, and if you don’t have any luck there, try popular reservation websites like Open Table or Resy.
- Investigate the parking situation ahead of time. Some of the restaurants on this guide (especially the ones located in Kimball Junction) will give you no trouble at all, but for restaurants situated on Main (especially during peak season), the parking can be very challenging. See this map for public parking on historic main street.
- Plan on spending a little bit more. As mentioned in an earlier paragraph, Park City restaurants are typically more spendy than neighboring Salt Lake City.

15. Chop Shop
Chop Shop is new to the Park City restaurant scene, but it’s definitely worth a visit if you want one of the best sandwiches in Park City. They’re located in the Kimball Junction area, making them super accessible with lots of parking nearby. The Butler Dip is our favorite sando here, made with dry aged beef, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, and house au jus, all on sourdough.

14. Cortona Italian Cafe
Cortona Italian Cafe is one of the best Park City restaurants when you’re in the mood for Italian food served in a cozy, off-the-beaten-path setting. Open for dinner only, Cortona serves typical Italian fare from caprese to homemade pasta to traditional Italian entrees like chicken piccata or veal marsala.
Start with an appetizer or two if your appetite allows, but for entrees try the potato gnocchi or the house-made lasagna. The lasagna is ideal for those seeking red sauce indulgence, with alternating layers of homemade pasta, bolognese, and bechamel sauce. The restaurant is small so if your heart is set on eating here be sure to reserve ahead of time.

13. Twisted Fern
Twisted Fern is a great spot for dinner or even a weekend lunch if you’re looking for something in the heart of Park City but not right in the bustle of Main Street. Situated just beside our favorite grocery store in Park City, The Market, Twisted Fern serves New American cuisine with a myriad of great appetizers, salads, hearty entrees, and even a kids menu. Favorite menu items include the smoked trout dip, open-faced braised short rib melt, and the grass fed burger.

12. Nosh
Nosh is a fairly new addition to the PC dining scene and it’s one of the best restaurants in Park City. The restaurant is casual, quaint, and easy to miss, but their fresh and flavorful Mediterranean cuisine is hard to forget. The Nosh platter is your move here, served with hummus, herbed falafel, spiced rice, roasted vegetables, pickled red cabbage slaw, toasted pita, and a myriad of delectable house made sauces.

11. Saltbox
Previously known as Riverhorse Provisions, our love for Saltbox runs deep. Coming from the same creators as Riverhorse on Main (you know it’s going to be good), this eatery and and catering kitchen is the perfect stop for a casual yet delicious breakfast or lunch in Park City. You can grab a bite to sit down and enjoy, take something for the road (shoutout to their family meal packs), or even have meals catered during your stay in Park City.
Although Salt Box serves both breakfast and lunch, this is one of our favorite Park City restaurants to start out the day. Menu favorites include their breakfast burrito, made with house-made sausage, cheddar, scrambled eggs, crispy polenta bites, and chipotle creme all on a Spanish tortilla. The potato egg sandwich is a fantastic classic breakfast sandwich, too. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, get the acai bowl, served with peanut & almond butter, granola, mango, banana, blackberries, and toasted coconut.

10. Grappa Italian Restaurant
When you talk to Park City locals about the best fine dining options in town, Grappa will inevitably be one of the first mentions. Founder Chef Bill White, a native of Traverse City, Michigan and world traveler opened Grappa (formerly operated as a bed and breakfast) in 1993. Today Bill White Enterprises encompasses seven restaurants, a bakery, one farm, and many more enterprises to come. We love the variety you can find on the menu at Grappa but our absolute favorite is the Bill White original, Osso Bucco– a lightly floured, slow braised veal shank, slowly cooked for up to 8 hours, served with creamy polenta, caramelized brussels sprouts, pancetta, rich red wine tomato jus, and a toasted pine nut gremolata.
Other menu favorites include their famous grapes and gorgonzola dish– sweet red grapes, roasted walnuts, gorgonzola, served with a red wine vinaigrette; and the caramelized onion and bacon flatbread, topped with balsamic onions, goat cheese, arugula, and truffle oil. Reservations highly recommended!

9. Bartolo’s
Bartolo’s is one of our favorite Park City restaurants for great Italian food in an approachable, beautiful setting. The food at Bartolo’s is flavorful and always fresh, and it’s the perfect spot for any time of day as they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant is bright and modern, the service is friendly and fast, but most importantly the food is really delicious. We love that they’re located in Kimball Junction because, let’s face it, sometimes you don’t want to drive clear in the heck up to Main Street for good food.
Menu favorites include the smoked trout benedict (our favorite breakfast item on the menu), served with dill cream, hollandaise, pickled red onion, and “everything” seeds; and the rigatoni bolognese (lunch and dinner), served with parmesan, fresh ricotta, and herbs.

8. Hearth and Hill
Similar to many other Park City restaurants, Hearth and Hill is a family owned and ran operation, open in the Kimball Junction area for a few years now. Hearth and Hill has an eclectic menu with a variety of offerings from comfort food to Asian fusion to fresh and delicious salads. The menu is divided into different endearing sections including shareable, snackable, harvestable, feastable, and even spoonable. It’s upscale enough for a nice lunch or dinner, yet not a place that you have to get dressed up for. #winwin
Always start with the life changing cheddar biscuits, and pair those with the pork gyoza, beer battered cauliflower, or the truffle mac and cheese. Our favorite salad on the menu is the avocado salad (add salmon). It’s served with romaine, radish, cucumber, citrus, seed granola, and a cilantro coconut dressing that all together is just so hearty but still refreshing. For entrees, the bison patty melt and short rib birria tacos are heartwarmingly satisfying.

7. Yuki Yama Sushi
No great gastronomic destination is complete without a sushi restaurant you can count on. Yuki Yama was opened by Chef Kirk Terashima and Matt Baydaya with a menu featuring fresh fish flown in daily from around the world. Their kitchen menu, equally as innovative, includes different Asian inspired dishes with outstanding flavors and textures. Yuki Yama is one of the best restaurants in Park City thanks to the incredible lengths they take to serve high-quality, fresh, and delicious sushi– it’s the best in town.
Start with the baby Back Ribs– five baby back ribs prepared with a jalapeño and teriyaki chocolate glaze, or the delectable pork gyoza. Our favorite order for fish is the chef’s choice nigiri, which truly highlights the creativity and uniqueness of Yuki Yama. This gorgeous assortment includes 6 or 12 unique pieces of nigiri sushi, each with a special garnish and sauce.

6. High West Distillery & Saloon
Hello and ode to High West Distillery, one of our very favorite spots for amazing food in Park City. Founded in 2009 by Jane and David Perkins, High West became the first legal distillery in the state of Utah since 1870. Today, their distillery, saloon, and formal restaurant (Nelson Cottage) are all available to pair delicious food with their offerings. The High West Saloon has become an essential stop at Old Town Park City for locals and tourists alike and is clearly one of the best restaurants in Park City. We love their down-to-earth, lunch and dinner menu filled with some of the most delicious food you’ll ever set eyes on.
Always and forever start with the house made pretzel, served with beer cheese, homemade mustard dip, and homemade pickles. We’ll also never pass on the iconic shishito peppers, seared and fried with a maple shoyu and their creamy comeback dipping sauce. When it comes to entrees, the burger is your move– a mouth-watering beef burger made with bourbon braised onions, aged gruyere, house pickles and comeback sauce on a caraway seeded bun, with rosemary crinkle cut french fries. This is one of the best burgers you will have in your life from one of our absolute favorite Park City restaurants.

5. Freshies Lobster Co
Freshies Lobster Co has been serving fresh Maine lobster to Park City locals since 2009 from their ever-popular food truck and their two brick and mortar locations in Park City and Salt Lake City. Just as delicious (and often times better) than some of the iconic lobster rolls we’ve sampled on the east coast, Freshies does an outstanding job serving some of the best lobster rolls you will ever consume.
But you’re here for more than just lobster rolls. Start with the Maine-Iac salad– one of our favorite salads ever, made with mixed greens, blueberries, sea hive cheese, maple pecans, and a maple balsamic dressing. The star of the show at Freshies are the lobster rolls. Get the Real Mainah Lobster Roll– a toasted New England hot dog bun with fresh lobster (flown in daily), mayo, hot butter, and seasoning. This lobster roll is truly love at first bite, thanks to the perfect symphony of flavors and texture. You won’t a better Lobster Roll in the entire state of Utah. Looking for something truly decadent? Get the lobster mac and cheese- served with gruyere, local cheddar, and 2.5 ounces of fresh lobster.

4. Tupelo Park City
Recently relocated to Kearns Boulevard, Tupelo is one of our very favorite Park City restaurants. Dine at Tupelo for an immaculate menu of globally inspired food, all artisanally sourced thanks to executive chef and owner Matt Harris. His farm-to-table approach to elevated dining manifests in his seasonally changing menu from local burrata salad to Rocky Mountain elk bolognese to pan seared Idaho trout.
The fresh, flaky buttermilk biscuits served with heavenly honey butter are a non-negotiable for any dinner at Tupelo. The deviled eggs, made with creme fraiche and country ham, and the farm green salad are other noteworthy appetizers. Our favorite entree at Tupelo is the beef and barley– wagyu sirloin served with sautéed farm greens, barley risotto, vegetables, and a garlic puree. Make no mistake that you’ll love every single thing you order here.

3. Five5eeds
There are several Aussie style restaurants in Park City, and while all of them are a welcome sight to the PC dining scene, our favorite of these Park City restaurants is Five5eeds. We love coming here for delicious and fresh food in a bright and inviting environment. Five5eeds is located on Snow Creek Drive, just off of Park Ave. It’s a great place for breakfast before heading out on the mountain for the day or lunch with family or friends. The menu items at Five5eeds are sourced locally and focus on seasonal ingredients.
The most popular order at Five5eeds is the hotcake– a beautiful (and huge) pancake served with mixed berries, lemon-infused mascarpone, nuts, and seeds. Other favorites include the smashed avo & peas on toast– avocado and pea smash, feta, hemp hearts, watermelon radish, fresh peas, beet puree; and shakshouka– Moroccan baked eggs, feta, dukkah, sourdough, and spicy sausage if you wish. They also make their baked goods in house, and we have yet to try something that wasn’t swoon worthy.

2. Handle
Talk to any locals about the best restaurants in Park City, and Handle will inevitably surface in conversation. Founded by Executive Chef Briar Handly, Melissa Gray, and Meagan Nash, Handle serves insanely good American cuisine, small plate style. Their menu changes seasonally and allows each diner to order from an incredible selection of small bites, cold dishes, hot dishes, hearty plates, and, of course, dessert.
It wouldn’t be a meal at Handle without devouring a plate of their General Tso Cauliflower– one of their most popular menu items made with a sweet chili glaze and sriracha vinaigrette. Prepare for flavor and texture unlike any other cauliflower dish you’ve ever had previously. The fried chicken is another favorite mainstay– perfectly breaded and fried chicken served with seasonally rotating sides. The burger at Handle is marvelous, served every night at the bar or on Wednesday evenings during summertime in the dining room– it’s one of the best burgers you will ever have.

1. Riverhorse On Main
Riverhorse on Main is a spectacular fine dining institution located on historic Main Street. This gorgeous space hosts food enthusiasts from all over the world each year that come back again and again for some of the best bites they’ve ever had. If you’re looking for an elegant evening out with a significant other, or a place to celebrate a special occasion with family or friends, Riverhorse on Main is the perfect destination and our top pick among Park City restaurants.
The incredible presentation at Riverhorse is always matched by the sophisticated and pronounced flavors in each dish. Start with the seafood trio: jumbo crab claws with house made mustard, lobster tempura with yuzu aioli, and seared scallops with butternut squash and caramelized apple. The macadamia nut crusted Alaskan Halibut is unanimously the best entree here, served with seasonal vegetables and herb whipped potatoes.
