Happy Fourth of July week, everyone! It’s a little weird that the holiday falls mid-week this year, but that should stop no one from going big on Thursday night. And with everything from the annual celebration at Grand Park to a home Dodgers game to Harry Connick Jr. at the Bowl to an Independence Day screening at Rooftop Cinema, there’s no shortage of places to get your fireworks fix.

If neighborhood celebrations are more your thing, head to the westside for Marina del Rey’s annual fireworks display on the water or the daytime parades in Santa Monica and the Palisades.

For more to explore, head over to LAist.com, where you can find the best bites of the week, like Argentinian food pop-up Gaucho Bites, RSVP for next week’s Tournament of Cheeseburgers at Smorgasburg (entry is free!), or schedule your kids’ summer by scouring the free activities provided by L.A. County Parks this month.
